Well, I don't know why, but you must want to know more about this hunk o' cyberspace called The Lair. So, I guess I should start providing the info, huh?
The Lair was started a long time ago, back when I was still somewhat a newbie. I'd been around EV for a short time, and I had the idea of making some animated GIFs of the EV ships (which can be found here). So, I moved my way over to GeoCities, picked out a plot, and voila! I had a homepage!
However, back then I didn't know jack shit about HTML code. I was using GeoCities' crappy little automatic page generator. After I had added some more stuff to my page (1 massive links page, some Hornet stuff, my animated GIFs, and barely anything else at that point), I had learned at least some HTML. Someone told me about Crosswinds, and I soon moved there. This allowed me to have complete control over my Lair.
After that, the Lair exploded. With freedom, came stuff that I had previously been unable to do. A good example of this is the EV Directory. Ever since the beginning, I thought that there should be a listing of people in the EV universe. However, I lacked the knowledge, experience, and server to do something like that.
Most recently, due mostly to my boredom with Escape Velocity, I've turned my attentions to things other than EV. I have also started voicing my opinion more. Two good examples of these are my Reviews section and my Rants section. Those aren't the only sections I have here. The list of sections is: Diablo, StarCraft, Rants, HTML Guide, School Reports, Joke Archive, and Junk. Theres probably some more here, just look around.
Now, my fledgling little website is a dot com! Hurrah! This will allow me even more freedom than I had before, as I will now be able to add cgi scripts to the Lair, making it a more dynamic page and hopefully increasing the ease of use.
I am a 22 year old male, living in Murfreesboro, TN. I'm currently a freshman at MTSU. If you're expecting a real name here, keep looking; it's not as if it's hard to find elsewhere. In my spare time, I work on this site, do theatre, work on this site, play bass (well, it's more accurate to say that I own a bass than to say that I play it) and sit around on my ass all day, usually working on this site.
