Level Select
At the "Choose Player" menu (1 player or 2 players), hold option. This will give you a level select screen. Unfortunatly, using this cheat means that any chances of a high score are gone.
Double Your Firepower
If you set the controls for both players to the same keys, you can control both ships and double your firepower.
