So you wanna help support the Lair and the rest of the Empire? Bless you, first of all. Secondly, there are several different ways:
There are several sections that are open to contributions.
Writing content for those sections will count towards getting you listed on the Contact page (more info on that below).
There are also other sections of the Lair that you are more than welcome to send stuff to me for, but you won't get an official listing as having contributed it. Here are those sections:
There are also the Stories and Webstories section. The Stories section is open to contributions from absolutely everyone, but having a story put up on this site does not count towards the 4 Articles that you have to have to be listed on the Contact page. If, however, you already have 4 Articles, your stories will be listed with everything else you've contributed. The Webstories section doesn't count towards content at all, as they are very fluid and it'd be a pain for me to keep track of everyone that is involved in them.
I'm not looking to post rinky-dinky little write-ups about stuff, I'm looking for well-written Articles. For example, if you write a Review of some movie you saw, I don't want to know that you thought it was crappy and that's it. It needs to say why it was a bad movie. Same with any other Article, there needs to be some actual content behind it, rather than just a simple declaration about something and that's the end of it.
However, I'm not instituting any length requirements, such as Reviews having to have at least three paragraphs, because that's just plain stupid. I've seen well written Articles that were rather short, and really bad Articles that were rather long; there's no set requirement for Articles, I just want them to be good.
To get listed on the Contact Info page, you have to have contributed 4 Articles (for the sections from the first list). Until then, anything that you write for the Lair will have your name and email address (unless you don't want your email on there, then it'll just be your name).
What is the benefit to having your name on the Contact Info page? Well, for one thing, it means that you're part of the EVula.com Staff, which doesn't actually mean anything to anyone that doesn't care about EVula.com. Isn't that great? Basically, it's just something that you can say you do, and you'll have something to point at to say "I did that." Eventually, I might make a page for each Staff member that links to everything that they've contributed, so you'll get to have a little index, too, if you're a Staff member.
