Ever run out of paper for your printer the night before a major school paper is due? Ever try and find a place open at 1 AM that has regular white paper? If you have, odds are you've come up short and had to pay big bucks for some special grayish paper at an overpriced school supplies section in a supermarket. This sucks!
You computer users out there, you stay up till all hours of the night and early morning getting that last bit of code just right, putting the finishing touches on a photoshop document, or downloading that last MP3 off the newest yet-to-be-released CD. Then you find that you're last Zip disk is at work, you run out of paper, you need some ethernet cable, or you remember that you fried your speakers out during that big game of Quake III Arena. What the hell are you going to do?! No place is open this late. You can't get that vital piece of software, hardware, or other equipment that you need to finish or show off your masterpiece program or graphic design. You got screwed!
I've been through all the same shit, and I'm pretty pissed off at this point. And I'm not just pissed at computer stores, I'm pissed at ALL stores. I wanted to go to the bank today and make a deposit, think I got to do it? Hell no! Banks are closed on Sundays and have shitty hours the rest of the week. Being open five fucking hours a day doesn't cut it folks. You are a financial institution offering a service to your customers, and frankly, you're holding up you're end of the bargain here like some guy that needs Viagra holds up Mr. Happy. Get a clue! At least have somebody there to take care of those people who do have some work ethic!
Home Depots across the country are now open 24 hours. YES! I can now repair that squeaky door at 2 AM. One problem, I needed to fix a cabinet that I'd bashed into on Easter. Went to Home Depot. They weren't open!!! Big sign, "OPEN 24 HOURS", they were closed because of some pissant holiday. Do people still fix things on Easter? Apparently a lot of stores don't think people are even alive on holidays, you go down the street and the only thing open is the local whore-house. Thank goodness my neighbor has a work ethic!
Conclusion: Would all the damn stores that are worth a damn stay open 24/7?!?! I don't care about the furniture store down the road, but grocery stores, hardware stores, banks, large bookstores, large computer stores, etc. STAY OPEN!! YOU ARE LOSING MONEY DUMBASSES!!!!
